this reminds me of the "brothers" at my high school growing up. They'd say:

"Let me hold a nickel"

I always thought it was a funny way to ask for a nickel since they were neither "holding it" to then hand it back nor planning or holding it long nor paying you back for it.

Obviously, your more honest approach is better and a nickel is no longer part of my precious lunch money... which is why I donated one.

Thanks for this! I was thinking about writing my own plugin for this (before I was forming the URLs myself manually).

Thanks for a nice plugin!

For me, Versed was wonderful! Had it for carpal tunnel repair. Asked the doctor if I had to have sedation. He said no, but I would really want this as it would be the most relaxed I have been in forever. Most hospitals don't release you until you are "safe" it just has amnesia effects for a while. I knew I wasn't supposed to make any legal decisions for 24 hours. That is why they recommend you have someone with you for 24 hours. Couldn't figure out why...I felt fine...Until I was thinking of what I was going to say and something completely different came out of my mouth! I then realized. I am sorry to read of the profound effects it had on Kathy. But, as any medication it may do anything on anyone. Other anesthetics can have there downfall also. For me, I was ready in a few weeks of being back in stress related life to go and have the other wrist done!

Abrahm Adams (above) speaks the truth and backs it up. I just want to give a shout out to Bro. Adams. The truth shall set you free. "lose himself shall find it" Bro. Adams will find his treasures, rewards in heaven by losing himself in Christ's service here on earth without receiving worldly compensation for that service.

I don't know much, but I have been blessed to serve as a missionary by working before my mission to help pay for it. Yes, I was a recipient of generosity of loved ones and choice friends to also help pay the cost of living on my mission, but I know I will be blessed for serving and not receiving funds for it with the proper attitude.

The idea of any hospital or clinic giving anyone a drug causing such profound amnesia and then putting them out the door before a complete mental recovery is one of the most dangerous things I ever heard of. I to was put out of the hospital after Versed was used on me in such a state of complete confusion that I went back to work at my job not knowing what was going on and I was lucky I wasn't killed. You should have never let your friend out of your sight not even for a second until she was fully recovered from the drug! This story is really not as funny as you might think. Since this drug does nothing for pain I wonder if it is used on us to allow the Dr to push more people thru the mill more so then to actually help the patient.

Hey guys,
I love the blog. Great work. However, I need help to decipher something. Take a look back at 1 Corith. 9:14. You say correctly that Paul is a preacher of the Gospel, however, can you defend a ELDER being paid based off of that scripture? I am unsure. I also want you to do a word study on the Double Honor passage and hook me up with your best argument FOR and AGAINST "timh" and it's derivatives meaning a material reward. Could this word hear mean just the word "honor". Please site sources of your tools. I am writing a paper and I am having a hard time believing that this one time it can mean reward or compensation and everywhere else in scripture it does not mean that. I already know Bauer says it perhaps could be, but where else in ancient Greek text is it used in this way. It just seems to be setting a precedent in Greek Lit. Thanks for the help.
